ArmInfo. "Earlyone" team from Armenia took the second place in the Eurasia Mobile Challenge contest regional semi-final held on January 25 in Yerevan. As the press service of the company has told ArmInfo, ConfBot (Russia) took the first place and received USD 20 000, Earlyone (Armenia) is the second with USD 15 000 and Treepex (Georgia) is the third with USD 10 000. The winner teams will participate in Global Mobile Challenge 2017 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
"Finalists of Global Mobile Challenge in Armenia were chosen from 1000 teams, which doubled the previous year's interest in the contest. Winners of the regional final will represent Eurasia in the Global Mobile Challenge final at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. As a company, we try to highlight the best initiatives and contribute to their implementation among end-users," said Mikhail Gerchuk, Chief Executive Officer Eurasia, VimpelCom Group.
Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin wished success to the winners of regional stage and added: "I am twice as happy that our Armenian team is among the winners. They adopted a courageous, creative and professional approach to achieve this victory, which is very significant for us". To note, Eurasia Mobile Challenge contest launched in July 2016 is implemented within "Make your Mark" global strategy of Vimpelcom. Representatives from Armenia, Georgia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan have taken part in the contest.
