ArmInfo. Today the Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan and European Commission Director-General for EU Neighbourhood and Enlargement Christian Danielsson discussed the Armenia-EU cooperation issues.
The Prime Minister particularly, noted that the European agenda is one of priorities of foreign policy of Armenia. "Our cooperation is based on common values and is of great importance for us. Armenia is ready to promote the cooperation with EU in the sectors of mutual interests, and in this context the negotiations on framework agreement are extremely important", the statement reads.
In this context he stressed the importance of implementing COSME and "Horizon" programs, and also the negotiations aimed at joining the common air zone. The Prime Minister welcomed the EU support in corruption fight and the implementation of a number of reforms.
In his turn, Danielsson noted that along with framework agreement signing, Armenian-EU relations will enter a new development phase. He noted the EU interest in Armenia's economic growth, business sector improvement, management system reform, and implementation of reforms. A special stress was put on high-tech sector development.
