Within the support of Armenia Development Fund, 23 Armenian enterprises will represent Armenian food processing industry (particularly meat, canned fruits and vegetables, dairy products, alcohols and other) at the largest international exhibition of ProdExpo, which will take place in Moscow during February 6-10
According to the information of the Fund press office, after participating in similar exhibition last year, Armenian food processing entities established new connections, signed agreements on long term cooperation, increased the volume of products exported to Russia. " Last year Armenian entrepreneurs met 600 potential partners, including representatives of famous trade marks. Due to new business relations trade agreements were signed at the cost of almost AMD 186 mln," Karen Mkrtchyan, the Executive Director of the Fund mentioned.
To mention, around two thousand enterprises representing 60 countries will participate in the exhibition mentioned, and 28 of those will represent national pavilions. A trade networks center will be launched within the framework of the exhibition mentioned, participated by 120 network stores. Last year the exhibition was participated by approximately two thousand entities from 67 countries and admitted by almost 55 thousand visitors., including vendors and large suppliers.
According to the information of National Statistics Service of Armenia, the foreign turnover between Armenia and Russia in 2016 formed USD 1,3 bln with an annual growth for 15,15, and export increase for 51m5% - up to USD 371 mln, while the import grew for 5,5% reaching the figure of USD 996 mln.
