ArmInfo. The Armenian Delegation leaded bu Vice Prime Minister, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan, participated in the Armenian-German business forum, which took place on February 15th in Berlin.
As the press service of the Government told ArmInfo, the sides discussed a number of issues related to IT, transport, road construction and energy efficiency. At the same time, official meetings of senior officials took place.
According to the source, the Armenian Delegation included the Minister and Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies of Armenia Vahan Martirosyan and Boris Demirchyan respectively, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Infrastructure Hayk Harutyunyan, Acting General Director of "North-South" project Vardan Karapetyan, Armenian Ambassador to Germany Ashot Smbatyan and the private sector. The German side partners are the Ministry of Economy and Energy of the German IT association "Bitkom", Eastern Committee of the German economy, Federal Union of German medium-sized businesses.
According to Armenian National Statistical Service, in January-December 2016 the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Germany amounted to $325.6mln. With annual decline by 4.9%. In particular, exports declined by 0.9% - to $139mln, with a slump in imports by 7.6% to $186.6mln.
