ArmInfo. Over the past few years the ICT sector in Armenia has been intensively developing. This facilitates attraction of foreign investments to Armenia to ensure competition on the labor market and promote the goods and services throughout the world, Armenian Minister of Transport, Communication and Technologies Vahan Martirosyan said during the Germany- Armenia international economic forum in Berlin.
The press office of the Ministry reports that the Minister welcomed the forum participants and presented the directions of commodities and services of the ICT companies in Armenia, etc.
As regards the development of infrastructures, the Minister stressed the importance of the North-South Road Corridor project aimed at linking Armenia's north to the south, thereby improving the regional Europe-Caucasus-Asia road communication. "The project is open for cooperation in the format of public- private partnership. We also welcome involvement of German companies," Vahan Martirosyan said.
He expressed hope that the Germany-Armenia international economic forum will provide an opportunity to promote the cooperation between the national companies.
The forum included discussions on IT, transport and road construction. The Armenian side presented the ongoing programs and development perspectives in the country. Nearly 15 private companies interested in establishment of new business ties and programs took part in the event.
