VTB Bank (Armenia) launches up-to date and safe service internet-purchase for Visa cardholders

ArmInfo. VTB Bank ( Armenia)  launched up-to date and safe service of internet-purchases for its  Visa card owners. From 22 February 2017 internet-purchases of Visa  card holders of VTB Bank will be secured  with higher level of safety  due to 3D Secure technologies.

According to the information of the press-office, 3D Secure  technologies provide to authorize the cardholder at the upon the  payment via internet internet, after client's entering one-use  password, received from the Bank by SMS at the buying moment. Using  3D Secure technologies gives holders the following advantages:   internet-purchases are confirmed by sole shift password, that are  available only for card users (SMS is being sent to user's number),  and are actual only for single  buying process and for paying the  client enter only six-figured  code on the screen, received by SMS.

According to the sources to implement online-payment with 3D Secure  technologies it is necessary to do shopping in online-stores, which  hold this service, otherwise the payment will be done without one-use  password. However, even in this case VTB Bank card holders will be  secured with additional level of safety , which will lead the  probability of fraudulence to zero.
