ArmInfo.All proposals received from the Armenian side regarding the quality criteria for local products and the development of the technical regulations of the EEC have been reviewed and approved. On March 15, during a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia Emil Tarasyan, Valery Koreshkov, Member of the Board on Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), stated his willingness to provide the necessary consultations on various kinds of issues during the implementation of work.
As the press service of the ministry told ArmInfo, during the meeting, Emil Tarasyan presented the works being implemented in the spheres, cooperation with the EU countries and the EEU, and partnership with Iran.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the quality of infrastructures, technical regulations, accreditation, the steps being taken to solve current problems in the field of standardization and metrology. At the same time, issues related to the integration of the register of certificates, provision of cybersecurity, application of international accreditation standards, etc were touched upon.
According to the source, the EEU representatives arrived in Armenia to participate in the forum "Protection of the rights of consumers of food products". Head of the Department of Technical Regulations and Accreditation of EEC Lily Maksudyan, heads of organizations of quality of infrastructures of Armenia and representatives of the department took part in the meeting in the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia.
