ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan during regional visits became unsatisfied with Republic`s roads state. To note, the head of the government is the Deputy Chairman of the ruling Republican Party and holds pre-electoral agitation.
According to Karen Karapetyna, the good state of interstate and intra-republican roads is of great importance, both in terms of ensuring the security of the citizens of the country and protecting its strategic interests. As a result of regional visits, the prime minister recorded the unfavorable state of interstate, intrarepublican and intercommunity roads.
In this regard, he instructed the Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan to study the state of roads of interstate and republican importance within two months and submit proposals on the terms and priority roads to be restored to the Government. For 2 months the governors of the regions will have to study the actual state of intercommunity roads and submit proposals on what should be restored in priority order. The Ministry of Transport should then consider these proposals. The Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning Narek Sargsyan was instructed to consider the legality of the buildings in the zone of interstate and republican roads in two months and submit proposals on them.
The police and the Ministry of Transport were instructed to study the legality of road signs on interstate and republican roads in a month's time and to submit proposals on eliminating possible problems with them.
