ArmInfo. Armenian trade turnover in Jan-Feb 2017 versus the same period of 2016 improved dynamic for 1.8% fall to 9.6% growth totaling 292.2 bln AMD($601 mln).
According to Armenian National Statistic Service data, only for February 2017 trade turnover in Armenia grew by 28.1% - up to 163.4 bln AMD($336mln).
This tendency is based on the improving of annual dynamic of retail trade turnover with the fall and growth and speeding up the temps of wholesale trade growth and vehicle trade. In particular, wholesale trade in Jan-Feb demonstrated annual growth for 15.7% to 118.4 bln AMD, versus 3.5% growth a year ago. Vehicle buy/sell extent in Jan-Feb grew by 45.6% totaling buy/sell 11.7 bln AMD, while a year ago an unchanged dynamic was registered. Only for vehicle trade turnover grew by 10.7% to 6.2 bln AMD, retail trade by 19.9 % to 87/8 bln AMD, wholesale trade by 43.5% to 69.5 bln AMD.
According to NSS data retail trade turnover in Jan-Feb 2017 versus the same period in 2016 changed dynamic to 3.7% growth, 5.1% fall a year ago totaling 162 bln AMD. In retail trade structure the biggest turnover provide shops (including Supermarkets)-75.2% or 121.7 bln (annual growth by 5.1%), other trade objects-13.3% or 21.6 bln AMD (annual fall by 4.2%), then come consumer goods markets 7.2% or 11.6 bln(annual growth by 7.4%), booths and kiosks 2.8% or 4.5 bln AMD(annual growth by 4.6%) and agricultural markets-1.5% or 2.5 bln (annual growth by 0.1%).
In total trade structure of Armenia retail trade dominates-55.5% after which comes wholesale trade 40.5% and vehicle buy/sell trade 4%.
