ArmInfo. In order to develop National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) Rostelecom Company signed a memorandum of cooperation with NPUA Fund, the company's press-service informed ArmInfo.
The company noted that the memorandum is aimed at ensuring practical application of the university students' theoretical knowledge and providing practical skills through professional experience. According to the source, in the frames of this cooperation, Rostelecom provided the university with Cisco Systems network equipment and computers. The parties also agreed to continue the dialogue between the company and the university.
"Years of cooperation with the National Polytechnic University of Armenia show that its students have competitive knowledge and can work in the best companies of the industry, such as Rostelecom," noted Rostelecom Armenia CEO Hayk Faramazyan. "I am certain that the high-quality Cisco equipment and computers we provided will help the students acquire better knowledge about modern technologies. We frequently hosted Armenia's students in our data center and will continue organizing such visits, introducing the students to ultramodern server blocks and technological solutions," Hayk Faramazyan added. The heads of the two agencies expressed their confidence that the cooperation will facilitate forming quality specialists and staff in Armenia's telecommunications sector.
