ArmInfo. The sector of seed and fertilizer production may become a logic and profitable business. The Premier of Armenia Karen Karapetyan stated this during government meeting on April 13.  

The Premier reminded about the policy of localization of the products imported. In this context, as Karaptyan considers, the work in the sector of agriculture is quite prospective, in particular, the production of seeds, mineral and organic fertilizers. 

As the Prime Minister considers, it is necessary to find investors who will be interested in the sector. In this light, the Premier instructed the Minister of Agriculture Ignaty Araqelyan to study the activities of breeding stations and organizations producing seeds jointly with State Agrarian University of Armenia and providing the results of survey to the apparatus of the government, present a project for solution for the development of the sector with the business calculations in a month. During the discussions, the Premier called on to cooperate with private sector. "We speak about transition of the sector into a logic and profitable business.  All the production functions of the State non-profit organizations to the private sector. Through this we will form brain center and in the questions of search of investors we will help. You modify the programs and we will make decisions", noted Karapetyan.
