ArmInfo. Iranian companies are interested in Armenian agricultural sphere development, Ignatiy Araqelyan, Armenian Agriculture Minister was informed by the leaders of the companies during the meeting yesterday.

Particularly, they informed about their intentions to found in Armenia plant on tomatoes' processing for the further export of the ready product to European Union countries. The business leaders added that in this issue they expect Armenian Agriculture Ministry support. They also noted they intend to sign agreements with Armenian farmers to arrange tomato producing.

According to Agriculture Ministry press-service statement, Ignatiy Araqelyan, the head of the department expressed readiness to join Iranian businessmen on tomato processing and tomato paste producing. What is to local types of seeds, the Minister suggested Iranian partners cooperation with Vegetables Processing Scientific Unit state non-commercial organization, as well as with other scientific centers active at the Agriculture Ministry. The Minister also suggested Iranian businessmen a business-project, where all the offers and events should be presented.

During the meeting were discussed the projects on creating constructions for greenhouse facilities in Armenia, the organization's possibilities of producing other types of agriculture.
