In the Ararat and Lori regions of Armenia, it is planned to establish an enterprise for processing garbage, refrigeration and farming facilities, slaughterhouses, and opening up light industry enterprises. In addition, investment programs of the regions are aimed at developing tourism in the region, asphalting roads, as well as major repairs of schools, kindergartens and cultural centers. On April 29, the best development projects for the next five years in the Ararat and Lori regions were discussed in the Armenian government.
As the press service of the country's executive body reports, the heads of communities presented various programs of entrepreneurial and of social nature to the Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan. The head of the Vedi community said that garbage processing enterprises will require investments worth 100 million AMD, of which 25 million are planned to be drawn from the private sector, and 75 million AMD will be credit funds. The creation of a mobile slaughterhouse in the Ararat region will cost 130 million. A similar program was presented from Vedi. As the prime minister noted, despite the need for development of the sphere, it is also important to confirm their validity in a concrete region.
The head of the city of Alaverdi of Lori region presented projects in the sphere of tourism, agriculture, light industry. Karen Karapetyan familiarized with the investment program for the creation of a breeding farm in the Arjmut community, which provides investments of 50 million AMD, and the payback period of the project suits for 10 years, noted its inexpediency. "The government finances projects where there are joint investments with the private sector, and we do not see a risk analysis in this project," the prime minister said.
The Head of Government instructed the Ministers to study in detail all the submitted projects and, if necessary, to assist in their implementation.
