Armenian Finance Ministry and Asian Development Bank discussed opportunities of planned budget cooperation

ArmInfo. Armenian Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan on May 17 met the delegation of ADB, the department press service informed that the sides discussed the opportunities of planned budget cooperation from ADB.

To note, Asian Development Bank was founded in 1996. Now ADB has  67 members, 48 of them are regional members, and 19 are not regional ones. Armenia has been among the regional members of the ADB since 2005. The main task of ADB is to promote  economic growth in Asia and in Far East, directing direct loans to these regions and providing technical assistance. Funds are mainly provided for the development of such areas as infrastructure (water, energy, transport, information technology), environmental protection, regional cooperation and integration, financial sector, education.
