Armenian Ministry of Economy Development and Investment promises to drive the country`s  export extent of GDM to 45% in 5 years

ArmInfo. Armenian Ministry of Economy Development and Investment intends to get the country's export extent of GDM to 45% in 5 years, Suren Karayan, Charge d'affair minister reported to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan during the meeting.

According to Armenian Government press service, charge d'affair Minister Suren Karayan reported to the President about the Government efforts results in export and attracting investments in the country, as well as on upcoming events in this direction.

Suren Karayan noted, that his leading department puts efforts to maintain positive tendencies on economy indexes and to provide stable growth in the future. In this context he informed that during 5 years the Ministry intends to lead GDM export extent of the country to 45%. For that, as he explained, correspondent observations in different fields and industry enterprises are done, which have export potential. As he stressed, the last thing for the implementation of having potential is necessary state support.

According to charge d'affair minister, a list of products is formed, which are about to be imported, and which, in case of support, would become competitive among importing products.  Armenian Economy Development and Investment charge d'affair Minister reported about works aimed at providing the come out to new markets of sale and strengthening the positions in already achieved markets.  According to him, works are being done to extend tools on export support and increase its productiveness.

Karayan also informed about works directed to providing front line positions in Ding Business World Bank indicator(Favourable Business Conditions). According to the results of the works it is planned that Armenia will occupy 38th place, improving the position for 12 points compared to the previous year. What about the processing of new law about Foreign Investments, charge d'affair Minister informed that within the framework of legislative act, new guarantees for investors are observed. He also stressed that the trading platform of the department on investment projects for potential investors at this stage presents 55 investment projects. Besides, he informed that in Autumn of 2017 FEZ will be launched in Megri in the boundary with Iran.

Armenian President also was reported about the works directed to tourism development. According to Karayan, by 2020 Armenia will register  doubling in inbound tourism. Serzh Sargsyan gave relevant instructions.
