Projects that could become a basis for Eurasian digital integration, were discussed by Deputy prime Ministers of EEU, at the firs session of working group on digital agenda implementation until the year of 2025. One of the projects mentioned could be the EEU Digital Competence Center under Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC)
Tigran Sargsyan, the EEC Board Chairman and the leader of working team, accentuated that the economic future of EEU today depends on digitalization. " We need to set digital markets and form own digital platforms, " EEC Board Chairman mentioned. According to the statistics, only the e-stores the services consumers number grows for 30% annually. More and more entities of traditional sectors go for postindustrial models of business organization and interaction with clients, industrial robots and industries intellectual management systems operation grows as well. We face new challenges. If we do not respond those, we will stay back of global economy leaders.
The session participants were proposed the draft of main priorities for EEU digital agenda implementation. As the key vectors of EEU digital integration it was proposed to choose the digital transformation of economy sectors and cross-sector transformation within the EEU.
Summarizing the results of the meeting, Tigran Sargsyan mentioned that discussions could be held, of course, about how the EEU countries would integrate into hi tech sectors and how they will develop the markets, securing the four freedoms principle, but it is obvious that the basis for the future economy would be the digit. " We need a special plan for that, " Sargsyan stated.
