Karen Karapetyan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, during his meeting with Iranian Minister of Agriculture Mohammad Hodjati, which is in Yerevan on his three day visit, mentioned the importance of economic relations improvement with Islamic Republic of Iran. This was stated to ArmInfo at the press office of Armenian Government.
According to Karapetyan, this could be promoted by the realization of joint investment projects in agricultural sector, which, in its turn, will stimulate the commodity turnover growth. According to the Prime Minister, involvement of Iranian capital in the free economic zone set in Meghri, will give a new pulse to the improvement of bilateral economic relations.
In his turn, Iranian Minister mentioned the importance of further development of economic relations of two countries. Parties discussed the issues of setting an Iranian office on export, import and quality assessment in Armenia, fish growing projects realization, as well as the options of setting a joint venture on tomatoes processing.
