ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to China, Sergey Manasaryan today during the meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan submitted agenda of Armenian-Chinese relations, particularly its economy part, as well as prospects of development of key indicators of cooperation.
Hearing the report, President Serzh Sargsyan stressed that the main mission of diplomatic departments and diplomatic representatives of Armenia abroad was and still remains the submission of economic potential of the Republic and providing its economic interests aimed at attracting investments.
At the same time, President stressing with satisfaction high level of Armenian-Chinese relations, stressed that the relations have many centuries old friendly nature, and for recent 25 years the cooperation is being developed fast. He also stressed that Armenia considers important relations with China taking into account the fact that this country is the second trade and economic partner of Yerevan. Nevertheless, the head of state noted that there is an unimplemented potential for greater development of bilateral cooperation. According to him, these issues were also discussed during his visit to China.
The President expressed hope that these agreements will be implemented, and some of them are in process of being implemented. Among these projects, President talked about construction of Chinese language school in Yerevan. He also stressed that China authorities program One Zone One Road represents big interest for Armenia. "Armenia should be involved in this program", President noted. Serzh Sargsyan also stressed the need of activization of the cooperation in the sphere of tourism. With that aim, he accentuated attention on simplification of visa regime for the nationals of China.
By the end of the meeting, President called to accentuate attention on increasing the volume of Armenian exports to China and intensifying the flow of Chinese investments into the Armenian economy.
