Serzg Sargsyan called on to start a work for creation of unified system of forest recourses management in Armenia

ArmInfo. It is necessary to start a  work on creation of unified system of forest resources management in  Armenia. On June 8, the corresponding instruction gave the Armenian  President Serzh Sargsyan during the working visit with the Minister  of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan. As the presidential press  service reports, the minister reported on the reforms and current  programs being implemented now. 

Artsvik Minasyan, in particular, reported to President about the  modern technical, technological decisions for formation of system of  full enlistment of data on natural recourses, improvement of  institution of environmental expertise, the introduction of an  electronic system to simplify procedures for issuing permits and  licenses. The Minister touched upon effective management of forest  recourses and control.   

Serzh Sargsyan instructed the minister to activate the work in  direction of implementing mechanisms "Nature-external debt", which  will allow Armenia to allocate certain funds within the framework to  bilateral loan obligations to the solution of nature protection  problems.

The President and the Minsiter discussed the issues on restoration of  ecosystem of Sevan lake, corresponding instructions were given. The  minister during the report, presented prospective project on creation  of biosphere reservation on the basis of national park of Sevan.

Artsvik Minasyan said that on the instructions of Serzh Sargsyan, as  a result of water saving in the Ararat Valley, about 980.24 million  m/t of water was saved. At the same time, he noted that so far the  existing level of water use exceeds the permissible standards, and  the measures to reduce it continue.

The President was informed about the necessity of carrying structural  and stuff reforms in the Ministry.
