ArmInfo. On June 29, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Georgy Gakhariy, the press service of the head of state informs.
Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the guest, noted the importance of the visit of Georgy Gakhary, as well as the Armenian-Georgian business forum held in its framework, which, according to the president, will give a new pulse to the further development of bilateral trade and economic relations. Parties expressed their solidarity in the fact that the high-level interaction in the political, humanitarian and economic spheres that developed over the past 25 years of independence, as well as the good-neighborly relations between two peoples, provide a solid basis for further development and strengthening of interstate relations. Within the aim of developing trade and economic relations, parties discussed the possibilities of implementing joint projects in a number of mutually beneficial areas. The importance of mutual support in entering the markets of third countries, the implementation of joint programs in the field of exports was accentuate as well. Sargsyan and Gahariya agreed that Armenia and Georgia have a great potential for interaction also within the framework of various integration processes involving both countries: Armenia is a member of the EEA, and Georgia has signed the Association Agreement with the EU.
