As the governmental press service told ArmInfo, Governor of Lori Artur Nalbandyan reported on measures to improve the social and economic situation of the region, on macroeconomic indicators, investment programs, and on the fulfillment of personal revenues of community budgets. Nalbandian presented the priority directions of the region's development - industry, export promotion, tourism, IT technologies, etc., noting that there is a necessary potential for the development of these areas in the region.
According to the prime minister, for effective implementation of regional development programs, local management should clearly understand the advantages of the region - what are the objective and non- objective reasons for the economic situation, on the basis of which it is necessary to ensure economic growth, and how can the government help. Concerning the implementation of community budgets, the prime minister said that there was a flaw, because there was no motivation to increase the community budget. He instructed the head of the region to provide a comparative analysis of the planning and implementation of community budgets.
The prime minister instructed to be more consistent in the implementation of the "Clean Armenia" program. "We want our citizen to live a normal life. Community management is extremely important. As long as the government does not have bright thoughts, if the community does not want to work - all this is not worth a penny. Citizen creates an opinion about the state as a result of communicating with the communal power", the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
The Prime Minister also presented work on solving problems in the field of education: the issue of attracting qualified teachers to rural schools, ensuring the availability of preschool education, etc. was discussed. The Prime Minister instructed the head of the Ministry of Education and Science to consider these issues and present rational options for their solution.
Representatives of the region reported on state subsidies in the provision of agricultural equipment, training and retraining of specialists in this field, on the introduction of anti-hail facilities. Learning that the interest of farmers in using these programs is low, Karen Karapetyan noted that the government program on the preference of agricultural machinery in leasing offers favorable conditions, and it is necessary to inform in detail about it. Noting the importance of short-term and effective training and retraining programs, Karen Karapetyan instructed to discuss the concept with interested departments. Subsequently, proposals were presented to address health and social problems.
Issues of public health and social issues were also discussed. In the field of urban development, the problems of families living in the disaster zone and those who were left homeless were raised. The prime minister instructed to discuss the issue with interested agencies and submit relevant proposals.
Members of the Cabinet touched upon the problems of stimulating tourism, developing programs in large cities. In particular, the Vanadzor development program was presented, in which the emphasis is put on the development of industrial tourism and measures to improve tourism attractiveness. The prime minister approved this concept and instructed in a short time to submit a concrete business project.
