ArmInfo.The process on the formation of the national agenda in the field of "Global cooperation of the sustainable development goals of the United Nations" was launched, in particular, for the implementation of tasks under task 17- "Partnership for Sustainable Development".
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment, working meetings were held earlier where issues related to affordable and clean energy (goal N7), decent work and economic growth (goal N8), industrialization, innovation and infrastructures (goal N9), responsible consumption and production (goal N12) were discussed. The main goals in these areas were outlined, and their consonance with national strategic programs was discussed.
Earlier, in order to implement the program, according to the decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia on February 21, 2017, within the framework of the interdepartmental commission, four subgroups were formed to oversee socio-economic, environmental and legal issues. The first adviser to the Minister of Economic Development and Investments Pavel Safaryan and Deputy Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Makar Hambaryan headed the economic subgroup.
On September 25, 2015, the UN member states adopted the Agenda for Sustainable Development until 2030. It contains a number of goals aimed at eradicating poverty, conserving the planet's resources and ensuring well-being for all. Each of the 17 goals contains a set of indicators to be achieved over a period of 15 years and a total of 169 objectives covering social, environmental and social development. To achieve the goals in the field of sustainable development, joint efforts of governments, the private sector, civil society and the inhabitants of the Earth are needed.
