According to Vakhtang Mirumyan, deputy chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, in case of failure by taxpayers to fulfill their obligations, information about them will appear in the public domain. In addition, tax officials threaten to suspend the activity of economic entities that have accumulated tax arrears over the past year or have not issued their employees in the manner prescribed by law.
At the same time, SRC promises to encourage law-abiding taxpayers - information about large taxpayers will also become public. According to Mirumyan, in the future this information will be used in conducting analytical studies. To note ,the list of the largest taxpayers of Armenia continues to be headed by Gazprom JSC Armenia (former ArmRosgazprom), paying 16.8 billion AMD to the state treasury in Q1 of 2017. According to the published data of the RA State Revenue Committee, the top five leaders paid a total of 35.6 billion AMD to the budget through taxes (with an annual growth of 12%), of which 7.1 billion - in direct taxes (including income tax, tax On income) and 24.8 billion AMD - on indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax). The share of the top five in the total list of 1000 large taxpayers in Q I of 2017 was 20.3%, unchanged year-over-year. The Armenian-Canadian JV "Grand Tobacco" jumped to the second place from the 8th year earlier. The Zangezour Copper and Molybdenum Combine were on the third place since the 11th year earlier. In fourth place from the 6th year earlier, Alex Holding has advanced. Top five leaders in the first quarter of 2017 were closed by the "Electric Networks of Armenia", having moved from the third position occupied a year ago.
