ArmInfo. Private revenues of the communities of Syunik district for the first half of 2017 are 697.5 million AMD - instead of the planned 614.7 million AMD, the head of the district Vahe Hakobyan reported to the Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan.
According to Armenian executive body's press service, during the working meeting held yesterday in the city of Sisian Syunik district under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, the progress in the implementation of regional development program was completed, and the forthcoming work was completed.
Head of the district Vahe Hakobyan, the social and economic situation in Syunik and macroeconomic indicators, noted that during a year it was mainly possible to ensure the implementation of activities provided by regional administration's work program and the annual plan for developing district within the framework of social-economic development program for 2014-2017. In particular, 72 communities of the region were given the necessary assistance in the development of development programs, during 2016, as a result of administrative and territorial reforms, 5 large communities were formed: Tatev, Goris, Tekh, Meghri and Gorayk. In 2017, 3 new communities were established with centers in Kapan, Kajaran and Sisian. According to the governor, the planned revenues of the regional budget are fixed at 4.7 billion drams, including own revenues of 1.6 billion drams. During the first half of the year, the actual income already amounted to 697.5 million drams, instead of the expected 614.7 million drams. Compared with the same period in 2016, it was raised by 10.2 million AMD, growth of own revenues was 17.2%.
According to Hakobyan, for 2016, construction works amounting to 6.9 billion AMD, of which 23.8% were financed from the state budget, 76.2% from other sources. More than 2.3 billion investment funds were allocated by donor organizations to support the farms of the region. Financing of investment, humanitarian and other credit programs over the past year in Syunik made up 24.5 billion AMD.
Referring to the given indicators, Prime Minister Karapetyan noted that additional criteria for assessing the effectiveness of the work done would be presented in the near future. The head of Government noted the importance of inventorying and digitizing spheres, stressing that the recorded indicators will become a guide for further activities. "I am sure that we have a huge volume of extra costs or the potential to provide better services," the prime minister said, noting the need for more targeted use of available resources.
According to Karen Karapetyan, number one task for everyone is to attract investments into the economy. In this connection, the prime minister is to establish ties with those who come from Syunik and achieved success. At the same time, he stressed once again that there is a huge development potential in the district and the Government is working consistently to promote the FEZ program in Meghri. "We will create an interesting environment within which great prospects for cooperation with Iran will be created for the communities of the region," he said.
During the meeting, Prim Minister was submitted works in the direction of agriculture, road construction, street cleaning, healthcare and education development.
