Government of Armenia discussed project of development of public-private partnership mechanisms

ArmInfo. The project of development of mechanisms of public- private partnership was discussed during the meeting held on August 21 in the government of Armenia.  The project was developed by experts of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EDB) in cooperation with the Center for Strategic Initiatives of Armenia.

As the press service of the country's executive body told ArmInfo, the participants touched on the legal mechanisms of public-private partnership, tools, problems and conditions of cooperation, its current status, investment risks and existing guarantees.

The working group detailed the objectives of the project, the proposed steps and possible results of its implementation. It was noted that the project will become the institutional basis of public-private partnership.

At the suggestion of Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, the project will be finalized by the efforts of EBRD experts and members of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers.
