RA Ministry of Agriculture: 95% of Armenian exports of horticultural crops fall to the Russian market

ArmInfo. Russia traditionally acts as the main export market for fruit and vegetable crops from Armenia. Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Armenia Robert Makaryan stated this at a press conference on September 8, noting that to date, the total volume of exports of Armenian agricultural products amounted to 78 thousand tons.

So, according to him 74 thousand tons fell on the Russian market, 3.5 thousand tons of fruit and vegetable crops were delivered to Georgia, and the rest of Armenia was exported to the UAE, Ukraine and Belarus.

At the same time, he noted that the process of purchase of agricultural products by Armenia passes without serious problems. In this vein, he noted that for today 35 thousand tons of vegetables and fruits were purchased, which exceeded the volume of the annual limitation by 3 thousand tons.
