ArmInfo. Armenian GDP in Q1 2017 reached 2.177 trillion AMD. According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, on an annual basis (in the first half of 2017 to the same period in 2016), GDP grew by 7.1%, against growth of 2.5% a year ago.
According to the source, in Q1 GDP was 971.9 billion AMD, and in II it exceeded 1.205 trillion drams. After a decline in the first quarter by 38.4% in the second quarter, the growth was 23.7%, while a year ago in the first quarter there was a decline of 42.8%, followed by a 25% growth in the second quarter. The quarterly annual growth in 2017 was almost the same with a slight slowdown - from 6.5% in the I quarter of 2017 to 5.5% in the second.
The share breakdown of semi-annual GDP is as follows: about 52% - trade, almost 35% - industrial sector, about 30% - services, over 11% - agricultural sector and more than 5% - construction sector.
Per capita GDP - GDP per capita grew by 24.1% in the second quarter to 404.3 thousand AMD ($ 836 or 760 euros), and the annual growth of this indicator was 7.3%, with the population contracting in the annual section from 2.995 million to 2.980 million.
