ArmInfo. The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia, Suren Karayan, met with the delegation of the World Bank (WB), led by the Director of the World Bank in the South Caucasus, Europe, Central Asia region, Ms. Mercy Tembon.
According to the press service of the ministry, during the meeting M.Tembon presented S.Karayanu with the new director of the Armenian office of the World Bank - Ms. Sylvie Bossoutrot, noting that the appointment of the head of the Armenian office was held on September 1.
According to the source, the minister expressed hope that effective cooperation between the Ministry and the World Bank will continue. He noted the importance of the WB contribution to the implementation of institutional reforms in Armenia, and the promotion of the structure within the international financial and economic ecosystem. At the same time S.Karayan noted that he connects the expectations with the WB's further efforts in the process of ensuring the economic stability of the Republic of Armenia.
M.Tembon said she was impressed by the enthusiasm, energy and efforts of the Armenian government in the process of implementing reforms.
During the meeting S.Karayan and representatives of the WB discussed the policy aimed at attracting investments and stimulating exports, and also attached importance to cooperation with the private sector. In conclusion, the sides agreed to further discuss in more detail the next steps.
