In Armenia, retail trade increased volumes by 6.4% and ensured an increase in tax revenues to the state budget by 35%, which is the result of the work of the State Committee on Revenues aimed at breaking the business out of the shadow.On September 13, the head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia (SRC) Vardan Harutyunyan stated during the meeting with the IMF delegation led by the head of the Armenian mission of the IMF Hossein Sammiye.
In particular, Harutyunyan stressed that the increase in tax revenues is due to the decrease in inspections by 48% and the return in the first half of the overpayment in the amount of 22 billion AMD. Speaking about the factors that ensured the growth of tax revenues, he drew attention to the structural changes made in the system and the launch of the monitoring center. "The recorded growth in indicators is due to the carrying out of explanatory work by establishing partnerships with the business instead of carrying out large-scale inspections," he said.
At the same time, Harutyunyan assured that SRC will provide to the budget tax revenues amounting to 1.135 trillion,noting in this regard the impact on GDP growth of the work of the State Committee for Combating the Shadow Economy.
The head of the Armenian mission of IMF Hossein Samiye congratulated the head of the Armenian State Architecture and Design Department on the results achieved, wishing success in the implementation of the planned programs and expressing readiness for cooperation.
