AMD strengthened versus the dollar in January-September 2017 by 1%  with deflation of the demand by 1.7%

ArmInfo. Revaluation of the dram  to the US dollar in January- September 2017 was 1%, only in September  - 0.1%, with an annual devaluation of 0.9%. As the RA National  Statistical Service told ArmInfo, in September 2017 the average  calculated rate was 478.2 AMD / $ 1, versus 474.1 AMD / $ 1 in  September 2016, 481.1 AMD / $ 1 - in September 2015 and 408.8 AMD / $  1 - in September 2014. A year earlier, in January-September 2016, the  revaluation of the dram to the US dollar was 1.8%, only in September  - 0.3%, with annual revaluation of 1.5%.

According to the source, in September 2017 inflation was registered  in the consumer market at 0.2% (with annual inflation of 1%), in  January-September 2017. - deflation of 1.7% (with an annual inflation  of 0.6%).  By way of comparison, we recall that in September 2016,  the consumer market accounted for 0.1% of inflation (with an annual  deflation of 1.9%), and in January-September, there was a deflation  of 3.7% (with an annual deflation of 1.6% ).

To note, at the retail currency market of Armenia, the AMD against  the dollar formed by October 5, 2017 at the level of 478.3 drams / $  1 on average, against 484 AMD / $ 1 as of December 31, 2016 and 474.3  AMD / $ 1 as of October 5, 2016.
