ArmInfo. On October 6, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received Denis Manturov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, who arrived in Armenia to participate in the Sixth Armenian-Russian Interregional Forum and the Second International Forum of the Eurasian Partnership.
As the press service of the head of state reports, the president greeted the guest and attached importance to holding these forums aimed at expanding and developing Armenian-Russian cooperation. According to the head of the republic, the forums have become a platform for a meaningful dialogue and direct contacts between local authorities of the regions of the two countries, as well as representatives of the business and expert community.
The interlocutors attached importance to the periodic holding of such events, which, in their opinion, allows discussing topical issues of the agenda, identifying the potential for further development of cooperation between the two countries and taking steps for its full-fledged use. The sides touched upon the issues of expanding cooperation in strengthening and modernizing trade and economic ties between Armenia and Russia. Serzh Sargsyan expressed his hope that Manturov's visit will give a new impetus to the development of cooperation and cooperation between Armenian and Russian industrialists, as well as the implementation of joint initiatives whose opportunities are increased through cooperation within the framework of the EAEC.
