ArmInfo. The Armenian delegation led by the Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan from October 19 to 21 is in Belarus to participate in the 13th meeting of the Armenian-Belarusian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation.
Within the framework of the visit, Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan and RA Minister of Agriculture Ignaty Arakelyan met with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Zinovsky.
During the meeting, the sides stressed that the trade turnover between Armenia and Belarus does not correspond to the real potential of the two countries. Particular attention was paid to cooperation and export to third countries within the framework of the EAEU. The sides also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the free economic zone of Meghri.
During the meeting with the Minister of Industry of Belarus Vitaly Vovk, the sides discussed issues related to the transportation and supply of agricultural machinery from Belarus to Armenia. The issue of organizing the Armenian-Belarusian business forum was also included in the agenda of the meeting of delegations.
Ministers Karayan and Arakelyan also met with Minister of Agriculture of Belarus Leonid Zayats, discussing cooperation between the two countries in the field of livestock and seed production.
