Despite the low volumes of trade turnover between Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, nevertheless, there is a positive dynamics in bilateral trade and economic relations and there is a serious potential for development. This was the day before, when the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Sapar Isakov, was received, the head of the Armenian government Karen Karapetyan stated.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, congratulating his Kyrgyz colleague on his appointment, Karen Karapetyan expressed his confidence that traditional friendly relations between the two peoples are a good basis for expanding the political dialogue, implementing mutually beneficial economic projects. According to the Armenian Prime Minister, the parties need to intensify the emerging positive dynamics in bilateral trade and economic relations, including, by intensifying the work of the intergovernmental commission. "Undoubtedly, both Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have promising projects that can be implemented jointly and which can be of mutual interest," the RA Prime Minister said.
In his turn, Sapar Isakov, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, announced the readiness of his government to intensify cooperation with Armenia. He noted that the economic relations between the two countries do not correspond to the level of political dialogue. "From our side, we are fully prepared to develop bilateral economic relations," the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan said.
The interlocutors stressed that interaction in the integration processes within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union will enrich the Armenian-Kyrgyz relations. They also stressed the importance of exchanging information on processes aimed at developing economic relations.
