 
ArmInfo. Electricity generation in Armenia in Jan-Sep 2017 was 5,745.2 million kWh, with an annual growth of 6.5%, while only in September, declined by 0.2% to 622.1 million kWh.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in Jan-Sep 2017, TPP increased the generation of electricity by 54% per annum - up to 2,051.7 million kWh. At the same time, the hydro power plant reduced its electricity generation by 1.8% to 1,823.3 million kWh and Armenian Nuclear Power Plant - by 15.3% - to 1,868.9 million kWh. During the reporting period, 64.2 thousand gigajoules of thermal energy was generated, with an annual growth of 25.1%. Other sources produced 1.3 million kWh of electricity during the reporting period, which is 18.2% higher than the figure for the previous year.
For the 2016 the power generation in Armenia was 7315.2 million kWh, with an annual decline of 6.2%. TPPs reduced electricity generation by 7.8%, Armenian NPP - by 14.6%, thermal energy production fell by 43.7%, and against this background, a modest growth rate of HPP generation by 6.6% could not bring the dynamics of the energy complex to ascending trend.
