The new Center of Excellence opened in Armenia

ArmInfo. On November 13, a new Center of Excellence opened in Armenia. It was created on the basis of the National Polytechnic University, the company "Cascade Energy" and the group of companies "Tashir".

The opening ceremony of the center was attended by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. According to the press service of the Armenian leader, the president, accompanied by the Minister of Education and Science, the president of the Tashir Group of Companies, and other officials, familiarized himself with the conditions of the new center. In particular, the laboratory for high and medium power distribution, a training center for automation of accounting and control of electric power, as well as the conditions of audiences, will be set up. Serzh Sargsyan was presented with the expected main results from the implementation of these systems. It was noted that with the establishment of the laboratory, dozens of students will have the opportunity to develop their professional skills and become familiar with modern technologies in the field of energy and automation. The creation of the center will also help develop science and technology in Armenia, increase knowledge in the industrial sphere. Under the assurances of the responsible persons, within the framework of the program, the Tashir Charitable Foundation will grant scholarships to 55 students in 2016-2017 academic year, which have demonstrated the greatest progress.  We are talking about the students of the Institute of Energy and Electrical Engineering of the National Polytechnic University and the Mechanics and Engineering Institute of the same university.
