Vardan Harutyunyan: Armenian State Revenue Committee will continue consistent struggle against the perverse phenomena existing in the system

ArmInfo. Armenian State Revenue Committee(SRC) will continue consistent struggle against the perverse phenomena that can be observed among economic agents and employees of the SRC. This was stated by the head of the Committee Vardan Harutyunyan during the regular meeting of the Public Council on Reforming the Administration of Incomes. Representatives of public organizations representing business interests took part in the meeting.

According to the press service of SRC, a wide range of issues was discussed concerning the draft law of the Republic of Armenia on Making Amendments and addings to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia.  Head of the department Vardan Harutyunyan noted the importance of strengthening tax discipline. "We are waiting for the support of public organizations and citizens in this issue," Harutyunyan said.

It is noted that toughening of the measures of responsibility will be accompanied by the improvement of mechanisms for registering violations. Penalties will be applied if the fact of violation is reinforced by video recording.

According to the amendments to the Tax Code, it is proposed to toughen also the responsibility for the violation of the norm to write out settlement documents for customers (users of services) on documents supplied and provided by them and the services they provide.  "In the course of the active dialogue, the head of the Armenian State Department of Armenia expressed readiness to accept a number of constructive proposals voiced by representatives of public organizations representing the interests of business," Armenian SRC message reads.
