ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan received the Chairman of the Senate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Ankie Broekers-Knol on November 16.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, the sides discussed trade and economic relations, the level of which is currently low, as well as prospects for development of cooperation in the fields of agriculture, communications, information technologies, and tourism.
Ankie Broekers-Knol noted that Armenia is an economic bridge between the EU and the EAEU.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of signing the Agreement on a comprehensive and expanded partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the EU in November, considering that it will promote deepening and strengthening of bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister thanked the Netherlands for its assistance in carrying out reforms in Armenia, including through international financial organizations. Karen Karapetyan attached importance to the implementation of technical and financial support programs in the country through the Netherlands Development Agency.
