ArmInfo. Citizens of the CIS can apply for a pension in Armenia.   This was announced on November 21 by the first deputy head of the  State Social Security Service of Armenia, Araik Paronyan, to ArmInfo  correspondent. This prerogative, as he pointed out, deprived citizens  of other countries.

According to the representative of SSSS, in addition to the citizens  of Armenia, the right to receive a pension in Armenia applies to  people who have dual citizenship, citizens of the CIS who have the  status of residence in the republic and who do not receive a pension  in the country of which they are  citizen. "When granting a pension  to citizens who arrived in Armenia from the states-participants of  the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in accordance with the  Agreement on guarantees of the rights of citizens of the Commonwealth  states in the field of pension provision, the length of service  acquired in the territory of the former USSR for the period until  January 1, 2017 year, "he pointed out.

At the same time, as Paronyan noted, citizens of CIS member state are  freed from the fuss with papers - they will not have to run around  different instances for documenting or fly to the country of which  they are a citizen. "A citizen of CIS member state will have to  present a work record card, where there will be a proper record,  testifying to his work activity in another member country of the  Commonwealth. The territorial office within 5 days from the date of  receipt of the application, sends a request, let's say in the same  territorial department of the pension authority of the Russian  Federation, which after an appropriate check responds to our request,  "he explained.  Regardless of the timing of the receipt of the  response from the Russian colleagues, the SES of Armenia, if the work  record is confirmed, the first day of treatment of this citizen  includes in the work experience of this person, which is accordingly  taken into account when calculating a pension in accordance with the  formula - a basic pension of 16 thousand drams (30 dollars), it  includes a bonus for the length of service (800 AMD for each year for  the first 10 years and 500 AMD for subsequent ones).
