ArmInfo. Drivers of cars with foreign state-run on departure from Armenia will be informed of the existence of fines. On November 22, at a press conference in Yerevan, the Chief of the Police Traffic Police Service of Armenia, Colonel of Police Yegor Karapetyan said, answering a question whether cars with foreign state license plates that violated the traffic rules (traffic rules), pay fines, and if so, then how.
According to him, the driver of the vehicle at the next entry to Armenia will have to pay the debt. "I visited the checkpoints connecting us with our neighbors, we have studied this issue and until the end of the year, I can not say the exact terms, maybe from December 15 of this year all drivers who have fines will be notified when leaving Armenia And they will be obliged to pay these fines at the next entrance to the republic. If the driver wishes, he can pay a fine upon departure, after receiving the appropriate notification, "Karapetyan said.
To clarify, such an approach will not contribute to massive non-payment fines, since the probability of the next entry into the country of the driver who violated the SDA can be negligible, Deputy Head of the RA Police Armen Khachatryan noted that today all steps are being taken to minimize these risks. "We understand that some drivers will try to avoid paying fines for their violations in Armenia, however, measures will be taken to minimize the risks of non-payment, up to the point that those who do not pay the existing fines will be denied entry visas," said Khachatryan.
