ArmInfo. Revenue of Armenia's communication sphere in Jan- Oct 2017 amounted to 120.4 billion AMD, declining in annual terms by 5.1% (against the decline of 8.8% a year earlier). According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the telecommunications segment, dominating in the communications sector (94.1%), provided revenues of 113.3 billion, reducing it by 5.8% per annum (against a decline of 8.7% a year earlier).
Only for October 2017, the total revenue of the communications sector increased by 3.8% to 12.6 billion. Moreover, the telecom segment provided revenue of 11.8 billion, an increase of 2.7% over the reporting month. In October 2017, by October 2016, communications revenue increased by 1.4%, with the growth of the telecommunications segment by 1.2%.
As a comparison, in Jan-Oct 2016, the revenue of Armenia's communications sector totaled 126.9 billion AMD, of which 120.3 billion fell on the telecommunications segment.
