ArmInfo. About 40 representatives of business, state bodies of Lebanon together with their Armenian colleagues discussed issues of development of bilateral relations during the business mission to Beirut.
The Armenian Development Fund (DFA) organizes the mission. Minister of Economy and Trade of Lebanon Raed Khoury and Minister of Tourism of Lebanon Avetis Gidanyan addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
According to the press service of the Development Fund of Armenia, on the first day of the forum, 13 Armenian companies engaged in the fields of information technology, trade, food production, banking, insurance, cosmetics, jewelry, and 35 representatives of Lebanese companies representing large retail chains and distribution.
As noted in his speech, the Executive Director of the DFA, Armen Avagyan, Armenia is the only country in the world that actively develops its relations with both the Eurasian Economic Union and with the countries of the European Union. This fact makes Armenia a favorable and promising country for doing business. In addition, there is a good experience of participation of Lebanese business in projects in Armenia. In particular, we are talking about the banking system, jewelry business, tourism. "The main goal of our mission is to present the advantages of our country to the business community of Lebanon, I believe that this potential should be used, especially in the context of the presence in Lebanon of a powerful Armenian diaspora," Armen Avagyan said.
Within the framework of the mission, meetings of Armenian and Lebanese entrepreneurs in B2B format and visits to Lebanese companies are envisaged. Memorandums of cooperation have been signed with the structures promoting business development in Lebanon.
