ArmInfo. The Armenian interbank currency market increased by 14.1% from December 11 to December 15 (after a decline almost twofold a week earlier), and during the week deals were made daily, but large volumes fell on Thursday and Friday. In parallel with this, the intra-bank foreign exchange market sharply intensified euro operations against the background of a decline in interest in dollar transactions. The exchange market is empty for the seventh month.
As a result, the dram against the dollar began to strengthen - from 485.3 to 481.8 AMD/USD1, continuing the revaluation to the EUR - from 571 to 568 AMD/EUR1, while adjusting for devaluation to the ruble - from 8.1 to 8.2 AMD/RUR1. A year earlier, on December 15, 2016, the exchange rate of the dram to the dollar was 484.5, to the euro - 511, and to the ruble - 7.7, which, in comparison with the current rates, indicates the annual devaluation of the dram to euro and ruble at revaluation to the dollar.
