Serzh Sargsyan: 2017 can be described as the year of interaction between the economic bloc of the Government and the business community

ArmInfo. The year 2017 can be  described as the year of interaction between the economic bloc of the  Government and the business community. Armenian President Serzh  Sargsyan stated on December 20 at a reception in the presidential  residence for the representatives of the business community of  Armenia in connection with the New Year and Christmas holidays. In  his congratulatory speech, the President touched upon the indicators  of the country's economic growth and expectations for 2018.

In particular, according to the President, from January 1, after the  entry into force of the Tax Code of Armenia and the Customs Code of  the EAEU, the country's business community makes sure that almost all  offers and recommendations of the business environment have been  taken into account. The head of state is sure that the next year will  be more successful economically, since in the current year sufficient  conditions have been created, in order to sum up the year with  satisfactory economic growth. "I do not want to predict, but I think  that the economic growth will be more than 6%," said Serzh Sargsyan,  recalling that the results of 11 months recorded a fairly high rate  of economic activity - an unprecedented increase in exports - up to $  2 billion.

In addition, as the president pointed out, for the first time in  December the national currency does not feel any pressure. On the  contrary, it makes an attempt to improve their positions. Serzh  Sargsyan expressed hope that in 2018, by joint efforts, the current  rates of development will be maintained. As the head of state  assured, the authorities, for their part, will do everything possible  to cooperate with the private sector in a real way.
