ArmInfo. President of Armenia  Serzh Sargsyan on December 28 in Central Bank took part in the  reception arranged on the occasion of New Year celebrations and Merry  Christmas.

According to the press service of Armenian leader, the President  congratulated on coming holidays of all employees of the Central Bank  and the banking system of Armenia and their families.  Serzh Sargsyan  wished that the positive results achieved by Armenia this year, both  in the economy and in the political sphere, were completely  transferred to 2018, and that they strengthened and increased.  "I  think you, as no one  else, know the economic indicators for this  year, and I want to note that your role in achieving these results is  great, both for the Central Bank and for commercial banks," Sargsyan  said.  According to him, it is very important that they show greater  independence, as their example should become contagious for others,  calling, however, all talks and approaches about what is necessary to  influence the country's economy artificially, through the financial  system.

According to the president, the financial system largely  predetermines the country's progress, its economic growth, but only  when it is based on objective reality, rather than artificial and  fictitious approaches. At the reception, Sargsyan thanked the  employees of the banking system for their efforts to develop the  system last year and wished further success. The Armenian President  touched upon the main problems and tasks facing the Central Bank in  2018.
