ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan urged to fundamentally solve the issue of tax obligations of individuals and legal entities. On January 18, at a government meeting, the head of government instructed those responsible for the sphere to find a solution to the accumulated arrears for property tax and land tax, as well as for a number of other arrears in the spheres of administration of local self-government bodies, SRC etc.
According to the Prime Minister, taking into account the fact that despite the previous measures, the debts, fines and penalties have not been fully resolved, today it is necessary to develop a systematic approach, as a result of which it will be possible to resolve the accumulated arrears issue and prevent its further accumulation.
In this regard, Karen Karapetyan instructed the ministers of territorial administration and development, agriculture, finance, the chairman of the KGD and governors to sum up the results in a month's time and make proposals in this direction, as well as clarification of the current legislation in case of default. "We need to fundamentally solve this issue, clean it up and start with a clean sheet. There is no task to turn this business into an additional burden.We have accumulated debts for years, we will offer flexible mechanisms so that all these payments do not accumulate, turning into a an unsolvable problem, therefore, logical and, possibly, daring solutions are needed here, "Karen Karapetyan said.
