ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan flew to Davos by private plane, ArmInfo correspondent was told in the Information and Public Relations Department of the Armenian government.
At the same time, the government explained that the aircraft was not chartered for budget money. On what particular means the private board chartered, the government refused to explain.
Meanwhile, immediately after a pic appeared on his Facebook page, users of the social network wondered on what funds the head of the Cabinet had chartered the liner, considering that he himself constantly calls on the state apparatus for the strictest savings.
This afternoon Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan posted photos on his Facebook page on his airplane and signed them: On our way to #Davos. In one plane with Karen Karapetyan there is the Minister of Transport, Communications and IT Vahan Martirosyan, executive director of the Development Fund of Armenia Armen Avak Avakyan and the head of the Center for Strategic Initiatives Alexander Khachaturyan.
The delegation of the Armenian government is going to Switzerland, where it will take part in the World Economic Forum in Davos. Within the frame of the Davos forum, it is planned to hold a number of bilateral and multilateral meetings of the Armenian prime minister with heads of states, international structures and business representatives. Karen Karapetyan will also take part in the meeting of the "Informal Group of World Economic Leaders" (IGWEL). The last time Armenia participated in the World Economic Forum in Davos was in 2009.
