At the Davos economic forum, Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karpetyan met with the Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan Nechirvan Barzani, during which the parties discussed issues related to the strengthening and development of bilateral economic ties. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian government.
According to the source, Prime Minister Barzani noted that Iraqi Kurdistan is interested in deepening cooperation and stimulating trade and economic ties with Armenia. Karapetnya, for his part, stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, noting the readiness of the Armenian government to implement effective steps aimed at developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the opportunities for development of cooperation in the energy, tourism and trade spheres. Prime Minister Karapetyan also touched upon the prospects of opening a direct flight to Yerevan-Erbil.
