ArmInfo. It is necessary to exclude obstacles when importing goods to Armenia in the event of arrest on property and accounts of legal entities and individuals. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Karen Karapetyan delivered a corresponding request to the government session on February 1.
According to him, as a result of the studies, cases of impeding the customs clearance of imported goods were revealed, that was explained by the fact of seizure of property of individuals and legal entities. As a result, the process of customs clearance, and the ability of legal entities and individuals to use their goods, was limited. In this regard, Karen Karapetyan instructed the RA Minister of Justice David Harutyunyan and the chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Vardan Harutyunyan to work out and submit proposals to the government apparatus to exclude these obstacles within 20 days. "We can not restrict the right of citizens to import their property even when they are arrested, especially since they will be able to fulfill their obligations with the import of goods," the RA Prime Minister said.
