ArmInfo. Beeline has announced the start of large-scale modernization of fixed broadband internet infrastructure in Armenian marzes.
The company plans to finish the complete modernization of subscriber lines in Vardenis, Goris and Stepanavan in the first half of 2018.
"In the end of 2017 Beeline informed about the completion of the large-scale modernization of mobile network. This year we continue improving our infrastructure and begin with fixed internet. It should be noted that these investments are the guarantee of high quality of our services," said Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin.
"This program for modernization provides for availability of replacement of technical equipment in over 100 distribution storages of the network, installation of new distant control storages with FTTC technology, and partial replacement of user infrastructure. These measures will allow us to improve the quality and speed of broadband services provided to the subscribers and expand greatly the network's capacity in order to get new subscriptions," said Beeline Armenia CTO Maksim Levin.
As a result of modernization, the quality of fixed broadband Internet will increase significantly among tens of thousands of existing Beeline subscribers, and the increased capacity of the network will allow even more customers to connect to the high-quality Internet of Beeline.
