ArmInfo. Prime Minister Karen  Karapetyan received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands  to Armenia Johannes Daum yesterday. As Karen Karapetyan noted,  Armenia can become a platform for the Dutch business to enter various  markets.

According to the press service of the Armenian government, at the  meeting the Prime Minister touched the productive meeting in Davos  with his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte, noting that the prospects of  cooperation in the direction of smart agriculture, processing of  dairy and meat products, as well as the creation of farms . The  Ambassador, in turn, stressed the importance of intensifying  bilateral relations, expressing readiness to promote contacts and  development of bilateral business ties.

According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the trade  turnover between Armenia and the Netherlands in January-December 2017  amounted to $ 127 million 152 thousand. with annual growth of 60.1%.  At the same time, exports increased by 78.5% to $ 90.8 million, and  imports by 41.5% to $ 73.3 million.
